About the Play: Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock and a 1915 Spy Novel, The 39 Steps is a fast paced spoof taking you all over the British Isles in pursuit of a villainous spy ring. Eight actors portray dozens of characters as we follow our hero, Richard Hannay, on a quest to stop the spies and save the world!

Content: As a note, The 39 Steps is a spy thriller set in 1935, and does feature a German spy. There are gunshot sound effects, and discussions of war. The show is presented in a comedic context.
